Not a teacher but I remember my first day at work in my first proper job out of uni, I had a meeting where everyone was using industry and company specific jargon and I understood maybe 5% of what was being said. Also had a 2 hour each way commute and messaged my mum on the way home saying I don't think I'm going to last the week! Now I feel like having a shitty first day is a rite of passage- I stayed at that company for 5 years :P
