A good rewatch for sure and a insightful reaction. All the movies have this comedic bent and this was definitely the best of the series. The longer they went the poorer they became. As other has said this was very loosely based of a Disney ride.

2025-08-15 01:27:17 +0000 UTCThat’s so cool! Well our channel used to be a North American sports reaction channel and I ended up becoming a big fan of American Football and Baseball! I wanted a team to follow so I did some research and landed on the bills as I love their story and their fan base. This will be my 3rd year as a bills fan and I absolutely love them! I’m on vacation to NY in December and I’m heading to New England to see them play the pats, I can’t wait!!

2025-07-26 22:03:59 +0000 UTCI’m far from the first to point it out, but the story of this movie is kind of brilliant: typically in a pirate movie, they’re always searching for buried treasure, whereas in this case, not only have they already found the treasure but they desperately want to put it back. It’s a pretty clever subversion for what started as just a way for Disney to cash in with movies based on theme park rides, and I think it turned out to be an unexpectedly great movie, and also seemed more and more like lightning in a bottle the more sequels they made. (Although the sequels have good moments as well.) Really enjoying the weekly movie reactions!
