2025-08-22 04:44:43 +0000 UTCOne thing I think you missed was that Peeta was actually responsible for the painting of Rue on the floor before Katniss performed her "skill" for Plutarch and the other big wigs. That was his way of showing his painting ability while also making a bit of a statement, just like Katniss showed her ability is to get gamemakers killed by hanging an effigy of Seneca Crane.

The way Suzanne Collins (the book’s author) was able to describe the arena and all its sections painted such a vivid picture in my mind as a kid. So vivid I couldn’t wait for this movie to come out lol, and I was very satisfied with the portrayal!

You’ve picked up on the mockingjay symbol evolving throughout the series and this mirroring Katniss’s journey really well. I can’t wait to see your reaction to Mockingjay!

2025-08-08 12:48:13 +0000 UTCSomeone pointed this out on the first movie. Apparently the UK version runs at a lower FPS. If you have Netflix. Use a VPN and set it to somewhere in England and watch it on our Netflix and it will remain synced. I know it’s annoying, I don’t know why they did that 😭

2025-08-08 02:05:52 +0000 UTCI think Peeta knew, which is why he was reluctant to leave the group. He knew the true plan. The plan btw was that Beetee was using the tree and coil not to go into the water, but to actually put it on a spike (which if you go back and look at his body, there's a large pointed stick with the coil wrapped around it.) He was supposed to fire that up at the sky once the tree hit, which would bring down the forcefield and then they could be rescued by Plutarch and Haymitch. Katniss noticed the stick and figured it out, and took the wire off it and fastened it to her arrow. I don't know what happened to Peeta, and where he went off too? I miss that part every time. Johanna wasn't counting on the other district sabotaging them, so she had to act fast to remove Katniss' tracker. My guess is, she was originally meant to remove it once the forcefield was hit. But I may be wrong. I think once you finish the series, I'd read the books. More info that will help fill in some blanks for you.
