what's brilliant is that the scenes of the successful bar flashback were from a scrapped episode in season 6. that's why mac was thinner.

2025-09-30 17:01:52 +0000 UTCmore so rob/mac noticed how in most shows people get better looking as the seasons go on so he thought it would be funny to do the opposite. of course in recent years he's gone the other way. the more work he gets done and more fit he becomes, the less funny i find his character lol fat mac was the best

2025-09-26 03:33:32 +0000 UTCAs far as I know, Mac put on the weight because they (the writers and cast) thought that it would be hilarious if his fitness-obsessed character was suddenly fat for a whole season. That's the entire reason, I think.
