2025-10-07 06:37:17 +0000 UTCThe show runner and at least one of the writers wanted the storyline between Jim and Kathy to go very differently. Jim was supposed to cheat on Pam, and make out with Kathy. John Krasinski, who plays Jim, flat out refused to film that scene, and told the production team that this was a line that could not be crossed. He also said that fans would not be on board with this, and wouldn't come back if Jim did this to Pam. I personally agree with him on this, and I don't think I'd still be binging this show all these years later if they had gone ahead with that plan.

2025-09-30 20:31:11 +0000 UTCThere’s a very significant scene in the Super Fan episode where Jim calls Pam and tells her what Kathy is doing and she tells him “good luck” or something like that. Showing the trust that they have in their relationship. I think Kathy does a little more in that episode as well.
