Such bad timing 😂

My favorite part is when you both look down to write and miss a creepy, sudden visual. :)

Another first time watch and an excellent suggest. It's not Silence of the Lambs or The Shining but it holds its own. I can see Jordan Peele's touch. Second time watch will reveal more I'm sure. Great reaction as always.

SO MUCH symbolism in this movie, including Dean's comment about hoping all the deer get killed coming full circle at the end of the movie by him getting killed by the deer antlers, plus Chris having to "pick cotton" from the chair to save his life. You guys also mentioned how Rose was eating her cereal strangely near the end of the movie, eating the cereal and then drinking the milk instead of pouring it in the bowl - thats because the fruit loops are "colored" and the milk is "white" and she doesn't want them to mix. Did you also notice Georgina and Walter's brain transplant scars at the end? That's the reason why Walter wore a hat the entire movie up until the end and also why Georgina was so careful with her wig - we saw her lifting her wig up when she was looking in the mirror, but we couldn't see what she was looking at.

A great movie that really rewards repeat viewings, but you guys really picked up on a lot the first time, especially with the extent of the deer imagery. Some things I didn’t hear you mention in the discussion are the sick irony of Chris essentially “picking cotton” out of the chair to help him escape, and also that Jeremy’s speech about jujitsu and being steps ahead mentally comes back around when he has Chris in the headlock: Chris uses Jeremy’s reaction of kicking the door closed each time he reaches for it to predict his move, and bait him into doing it again so he can stab his leg and get out of the hold. If you ever get a chance to listen to Jordan Peele’s commentary track, I really recommend that too. He goes over all sorts of little details and extended lore behind the Order that the parents and family are a part of that he came up with, but which is only alluded to in the finished movie. There was also a different ending originally that’s more in line with what everyone thinks is happening at first when that car pulls up at the end. It’s interesting to see, but definitely a much more downer ending, and I’m glad he changed his mind and went with what he decided to in the end.
