He's that goofy, overly positive and even borderline naive character who's actually quite considerate and has a lot of conviction. The tale of the 2 Oni actually seems to be quite popular in Eastern countries, as I've heard it numerous times in anime and stuff.

2025-01-14 23:06:29 +0000 UTCTo answer 2 questions about Itto: 1. Why is he allergic to beans? Because in Japanese folklore, the act of throwing roasted soybeans is a way to ward off evil spirits. Or Yokai in this case (remember that Yokai is an umbrella term for any Japanese monster or supernatural entity) But for the case of Itto, he actually does have a bad allergic reaction to beans. If he eats anything that was made with beans, pretty much the same result as anyone thatβs allergic to specific foods. 2. What was the symbol behind Itto before he punched the boulder? That is him calling upon his Oni bloodline along with the power of his Vision. So the power of Geo (Earth) + the innate strength of an Oni = 1 devastating attack. As for the shape of the symbol itself, itβs not clearly defined in the game, so itβs just speculated to a symbol that represents Oni in general.

2025-01-14 21:49:53 +0000 UTCNeed to clear up something about the guy in green that you two said looked like he was dressed for Christmas. Heβs actually part of the Adventurers Guild. The one that Katheryne is part of. As in the girl who always tells the traveler if thereβs a commission for him. (If that ainβt obvious enough, itβs literally the girl we talk to at the beginning of the video) Every single NPC that wears a formal outfit in the color scheme of Dark Green, White, and Red, is from the Adventurers Guild. Would be something you would have known way back as Monstadt if you were actually playing the game. Just to use an example: Remember that guy Stanley from Ventiβs story? The one who was impersonating his dead friend to carry on his legacy? Heβs also with the Adventurers Guild.

His strength, brashness, goofy charm, and memorable moments are what make him the most beloved character in Genshin Impact. The English voice actor, Max Mittelman, did an OUTSTANDING job with his role and it turns out, most of it was improv on his end and the devs loved it so much they kept it. Itto wouldnβt have nearly enough charm if Max didnβt do his own thing with the character. And trust me when I say this, every upcoming story involving Itto, is sure to be a good time.
