Patreon Benefits Index

Overview

So the aim of this post is to give an easy to read overview of the benefits you gain access to as a patron - without it being an overwhelming wall of text!

The benefits that have a large list of things you can access (bonus videos, downloadables, livestreams), or that have some guidance on accessing (Discord, Facebook) I'll be including as a link to a separate post with the full list on it - just click the link to see what you get 🙂

Patreon Benefits

Discord Server ←Link

This is probably one of the most valuable parts of the Patreon! Our community on Discord is incredibly active, and I wake up to tons of new posts every day with members showing of their work, being supportive, helping other members, and talking about all kinds of stuff, D&D/crafting related and otherwise. I MASSIVELY recommend checking this out - seriously, if you don't you're missing out!

Downloadables←Link

Since the launch of the channel and the system I have made a TON of downloadable content, from printable templates, banners and windows, to Jig STLs you can print to make your crafting life easier 🙂

Bonus Videos ←Link (also collection link here)

This link has a full list of the bonus videos you gain access to as a patron 🙂

Currently they're almost all upgrade videos of existing builds, such as the magnetic accessory versions of walls, the magnetic interior walls, and V1 of magnetic mountainblocks (V2 coming soon...)

I highly recommend checking these out if you're planning builds of the system. These upgrades are, I think, superior to the original and even if you don't want to go full magnet, give other options that add to the quality of the build.

Bonus info/guides

This collection has all the little guides and bonus info that wasn't quite what I'd call a bonus video - usually smaller and either very specific or very broad! Worth taking a browse :)

Apparently patreon is having a moment so the link is here instead: https://www.patreon.com/collection/327324?view=expanded

10% USA magnet discount code ←Link

The US supplier I got in touch with offered a special amount for patrons only :)

EDIT: managed to get them to upgrade it from 7% to 10% :D

30% 3D printing discount (USA based, 3Degos) ←Link

I managed to get this discount for patrons from 3Degos for any orders over $50, with free US delivery over $35 :)

They do both FDM and Resin prints, including custom orders of your own STLs!

Livestreams ←Link

From time to time I do a livestream with my Noble Patrons who are free to hang out and get exclusive early previews, insights into my plans, ideas, and generally exchange thoughts!

I've also started doing reviews of D&D books (official and 3rd party) for their useful features to us as DMs, which a lot of people seem to value 🙂

All of these are available on demand if you can't make it, and links to all of them are available above!

Poll ←Link

I try where possible to run a regular poll for Noble Patrons to have an input into the channel's direction, whether that's the next video topic, what stuff they'd like to see in general, or what they'd like to see in the livestream!

These posts pop up from time to time, and generally last for a week or so, so I have a cut-off point to know the input is finalised 🙂

I try to post these on Discord too, but it does slip my mind sometimes!

Early Access ←Link

All videos I create to post publicly you guys get access to basically as soon as they're done 🙂

More often than not this is before I've finished fiddling with the pinned comment and other finalising features, I like to get it to you all as soon as it's ready to watch!

This can mean you have it anywhere between a day and a week faster than the public audience, depending on timing, which I thought was a nice little perk for you guys.

Previews ←Link

I've gotten into the habit of releasing regular previews of what I'm doing, both crafting-wise and for running the channel in general. This gives you all a nice insight into what you're helping bring to life, and where my time goes (Everywhere. It goes everywhere 😄).

I try to post at least once a week, sometimes twice and I try to also include things that DIDN'T work, experiments that didn't pan out and so on, along with occasional tips that wont make it into the video because they don't quite fit. So hopefully these are useful and interesting for you guys!

Another cool thing is if you click the link, you can browse the creation process of each video step by step! For the recent ones at least 😄

Facebook Group ←Link

The Facebook group I set up at the start of the channel before the discord, and honestly, it has been almost completely replaced by it. It used to get a fair few posts in it, but not nearly as many as the Discord, and now Discord is BY FAR the most used - so I would recommend just joining the Discord!

Finally, thank you so much to Mat (one of you guys!) for helping me pull this together :) There's more to come!

Comments

This discord link and Fb links keep sending me in circles. Any other way I can get these?

These are really helpful! Getting back into running my games in person again after lockdown.
