Hi Guys!
I'll mention as usual, I did not sculpt these, I paid for these to be made as a 'thank you' for you guys, Fabio of Making Tlon is the sculptor. The split between nobles and questgivers is to make sure future sets have enough funding, and so questgiver funds don't get spent on stuff they may not want π it's the best way I could figure of still giving questgivers SOMETHING, because without Noble Patron level support I'd be unlikely to be able to keep this up in the longer term!
If your patreon email is the same as your Myminifactory email then you will get access on there at the start of next month. I grab lists of patrons a few times in the month, every 10 days or so with a few on the last days, so make sure you stay subscribed for long enough to hit the database! I need that data to give you access π
This month's release includes the overflow from last month when we went a TEENY bit over budget, but luckily there was enough left over to do the new stairblocks!
The stairblock stair and iron cages are not quite finished, so those aren't uploaded yet but everything else is in place :) We're just finishing up some test prints on some of them, so there may be some minor updates to the 100x60x60 cages.
Cages are in 3 sizes each, 40x40x40mm for stooped/bestial medium creatures, 60x60x60 for humanoids (given many minis now have rather dramatic, wide poses!) and 100x60x60 for large sized creatures, in case you need to cage some ogres or similar!
Supports have been thinned as much as possible for ease of removal, especially for brutal cages, but I still recommend care and hot water :) Tribal are pretty tough though π
Questgivers get access to all the wood cages, as a nice basic set that will fit most situations :)
The cages themselves have holes for either 1mm wire pins to superglue in and make assembly clean and easy, and/or 1mm magnets, which work perfectly to attach/detach the roof/floors :) a few on each side will work.
The stairblocks will work with 4x2mm magnets and a 6x4 on the bottom, as I recommend for the foam versions, but they will be loose, like 3x2mm magnets in foam would be (well, a little stronger actually, but not what I'd call solid). I'd recommend 4x4mm on the 4 sides. you can still go 4x2 in the top and 6x4 in the bottom no problem!
Adding these magnets is as simple as putting one on the outside of the slot in the right polarity to pull it, and lowering a magnet in close to that side. Once in place, just add superglue, let it dry, and remove the outer magnet :)
The bottom you can just superglue in place once the other magnets are in, and glue the magnet in with superglue before or after attaching.
The stairblock stair has a slightly more hollow gap in the...gap between tiles, on the centre of the back and bottom. these run horizontally along the piece, so you can slot in 1mm wire for your magnetising and superglue in place. This gives more flexibility over the original nails method as they can slide along setups and be placed between two stairblocks!
Let me know what you think of them!
