Hi Guys!
Wow this is a lot of painting 😂 Not gonna lie, I underestimated this one a bit out of sheer enthusiasm to do this project all at once - it absolutely isnt necessary and you guys can probably do this one a chunk at a time and still get a lot out of it 😅
ANYWAY, I'm currently finishing painting batch 4 of 5, which you can see a bit in the background here, but the main images are of some (mostly) completed examples of empty sewers and sloped walls.
I LOVE how this all came together after the weathering, I think it adds so much to pieces! I've added it to all my stone floor tiles now, and the results speak for themselves. It just adds that 'grit' of realism to what otherwise feels too clean...
You can see here one of the STL end pieces for the sewer flows, a mini can actually stand on the middle there using a magnet to precariously escape incoming enemies - and it can be widened for wider sewer flows.
You can also see how well it integrates with exisiting stone walls and temple blocks - this allows us to make massive scenes without remaking a whole bunch of stuff :)
Unless you're like me, focused always on the current video, and fell behind getting basic stone walls and floors done...kinda part of why this video took longer than expected - I just haven't had the 'free' time to do crafting outside of 'work' for over a year now. BUT they're getting done at last!
Even this isn't totally finished, the copper needs verdigris, and I may yet add some more grit, grime and moss to the empty flows - but it's looking pretty damn nice!
The sloped walls also look amazing as dungeon rooms and corridors - so much better than just flat squares everywhere :)
I hope this has been a nice little update to keep you guys going - I haven't had many pretty things to show for a while now so thank you so much for your patience!
For those interested, I'm also SO much better health wise, I have the occasional slow days and I still need 2h more sleep than I should - but brain fog is (touch wood) seemingly gone, I can drive for more than 15 minutes, I can walk up hills/longer distances...whisper it, but I almost feel better :)
