I switched to EUR
Added 2020-10-02 14:11:29 +0000 UTCPatreon now allows creators to change their currency and me being European of course went for EUR, this way I can avoid unnecessary fees like currency conversion fee for both of us and probably 1% fee for being outside of US, not sure about it because it just disappeared.
even tho I get payed in EUR now existing patrons are not affected and will continue paying in dollar.
If you are in Euro zone and want to change to pay in your local currency to avoid conversion fees yourself patreon provided these steps
- On Patreon.com, hover over your avatar in the top right of your screen.
- Click Manage memberships.
- Find this page, and click Edit.
- Under Currency, choose your preferred currency.
- Click Update to save your settings.
