I'm back

I'm back from my slumber period of inactivity and hopefully back to more regular release schedule.

Some people were worried asked why I didn't share stuff for couple of months and while I did give a quick version on discord I share a longer story here.

Also while I don't have a proper growing up pack release yet I did scrap together something for you in the post above.

Story time (Based on true events)

Looming disaster

So as REM was working hard on new growing up pack for Anna halfway through he found a couple areas he didn't like, there was no problem he fixed it no sweat, but that was not end of it as now REM was presented with a terrific problem on his path, as he was already done making half of growing up pack fixing one area on one models means he has to fix that same area in all other age versions or he risks making models look inconsistent with one another. That problem didn't sway REM tho no REM rolled up his sleeves, put on his naruto headband and grinded through all those models.

The same thing happened more times than he wished, but the end as he put on his VR headset to look at his marvel REM gasped, his palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms were heavy mom's spaghetti she was ugly! "I can't ship that!" REM said

Unlimited Revision works

"This is disastrous" REM said biting on his fingernails "how? how did I not see this before? Just yesterday she looked fine! Is VAM messing with me?"

REM was filled with questions, did VAM modify his models somehow or was REM getting derailed? "No, this is not time to question my sanity, people are waiting for me! for my works! I have to fix this, I have to revise her" Little did REM know that it was beginning of the end.

100 Iterations later - "She looks better, but there's something I'm missing"

200 Iterations later - "No no no not good enough!"

300 Iterations later - "What with these legs?"

400 Iterations later - "Why can't you look human!?!"

∞ Iterations later - "..."

2 months later

It's been a while since REM has seen sunlight and people were worried that REM might have died or worse, became a dragon ball fan, god only knows how many episodes it has. but REM was still working, stuck to an idea that he can still make her look human.

"... can't wait for people to release AGI that would trivialize this work" REM said as he was working, hoping that potentially world ending invention would save him from this never ending spiral of Unlimited Revision Works of his.

"You don't need machine god for this" said a voice, "who are you" said REM looking around, but alas not seeing anyone

"I'm your sanity or what's left of it, look this what you have here is good enough" said sanity

"nonsense! just look at her legs, there is still work to be done!" said REM, after all to think that this model is good enough now is inconceivable.

"work to be done? it's been two months, the sun will die before you get done here! You made hundreds of revisions already You have to release her, I'm not asking here" said sanity

"Are you insane? Release her in this state? I will be expelled from human race for this monstrosity!" said REM raving like a madman

"Then ask for resubmission to the human race in your next release, this one has to go, NOW!" said sanity not taking this shit

"Nooooo!!! I won't, there still work to be done!" said REM

"You leave me no choice then, good night REM" says sanity as REM's mind slips into darkness.

One Week Later

It was early morning on the weekend, REM opened his eyes, but he saw nothing, REM tried touching his face and instead of soft skin he felt tough plastic.

"What I'm a a robot now? No wait I'm still wearing my headset" said REM.

As REM's head moved headset suddenly came to life and he was greeted by a sight of his work, but something was different.

"No way, how? Is VAM messing with me again?" said REM not believing what he saw was now almost human looking set of pixels.

"This is... beautiful, The world must see this!" said REM finally proclaiming her worthy of release.

"Now about those legs tho". - THE END

Short version: worked on a model and went insane.
