This week I'll be away from Wednesday morning to Saturday night to a conference with Brandon where I will simply be a room service baddie 💀 [aka im staying in the hotel room and doing nothing but editing whilst he goes to a work conference]. That means that we'll be reacting to Frieren and Jujutsu Kaisen a few days later but they'll be up here on Sunday afternoon <3
This week we'll be done with Kaguya Sama love is war and also dangers in my heart! We still have the Kaguya Sama love is war movie to go, but we're also starting Tomo-chan is a girl! THIS MEANS, we'll be having a poll very very soon so keep your eyes peeled and your suggestions for shows coming so we can vote hehe!

Almost completely forgot but you would definitely love Skip to Loafer, a gorgeously animated little slice-of-life/romance show with a fun ensemble cast that fills the hole of Horimiya's big interconnected friend group interactions to me

2023-12-06 21:43:49 +0000 UTCMy top recommendations are: ReZero: It is one of the most popular issekai shows (fantasy reincarnation). It's my personal favorite issekai for how well written the characters are. Link Click: This is actually a Chinese animation (Donghau). It's sci-fi drama about a group of time traveling 20-somethings that are paid to jump back in time and solve mysteries for people. It deals with the moral implications of time travel really well. The first episode hooked me immediately. It starts off fairly episodic, but there is an underlying dark mystery that becomes the focus in the second half of season 1 and in season 2. The English dub for this is amazing and one of the best dubs I've heard. I prefer it over the sub 100%. But both are good. Classroom of the Elite: This is about a school where power is the most important thing. The whole structure of the school is built around power, corruption, and exploitation. All the characters will pretty much do anything for power, regardless of morals. Sounds really dark, but it's not that bad. It can be relatively light hearted, but it's still really interesting. The main theme of this show is that morals are not the driving factor in people's decisions, and that people's morals can be bent and twisted by others. Season 3 is coming out next season. The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady: Ik, it's one hell of a title. This one is a romance set in a fantasy setting. It's different from most romance because it is yuri (lesbian). One of the most wholesome yuris to come out recently (came out earlier this year). It's about a princess who falls in love with a genius who was original supposed to marry the prince (the princess' brother). All around great wholesome show. Romantic Killer: Rom-com, slice if life. It is set from the perspective of the female. Pretty much this girl has been a shut in most of her life (only plays otome games). So an angel decides to help her by forcing her to be more social and sending guys into her life until she falls for one. Pretty much turning her life into an otome game. It's wholesome, funny, and all around good. Sorry for the essay... I got excited :)

2023-12-04 11:24:26 +0000 UTCThat Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (when you watch the slice of life show "Slime Diaries between seasons 1 & 2 it becomes one of the best animes ever). Only behind Kaguya Sama for me. Sword Art Online Fruits Basket (great rom/ a bit of com) based on all the rom com content I have watched you do. This is a must watch for you. Don't Toy With Me Miss Nagatoro. Same reason as Fruits Basket Loving Yamada at Level 9999. It's a great rom/com Can't wait for Tomo Chan. It's one of my favorite rom/Coms. My Dress Up Darling / Dangers level good.

2023-12-04 05:01:58 +0000 UTCHonestly, any of these shows would be great for reactions. -- Avatar: The Last Airbender -- Dr. Stone -- Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts -- Re:Zero -- She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018) Avatar, Kipo, and She-Ra are all western animated shows with compelling stories, powerful messages, relatable characters who actually grow and develop as people throughout the story, pro-LGBT themes, and loads of lighthearted comedic moments. Re:Zero is an isekai anime with a unique blend of both lighthearted and incredibly dark moments. The show is known for being mysterious and unpredictable, so you'll likely be confused... but that's okay (happens for everyone). To be honest, Re:Zero kinda reminds of me Attack on Titan in the sense that you'll be fed breadcrumbs of information over time, so you won't see the full picture until much much later. The payoff is worth it, but you'll need to be patient. Dr. Stone is a science themed shonen anime. I really can't say more without revealing the premise, so I'll leave it at that. The show is often slept upon (at least compared to other shonens), but the reaction channels that watch Dr. Stone are never disappointed. In fact, several have said they don't understand why the show isn't more popular.
