23:30 I am in LOVE with this title drop. I could wrong, but I don’t recall that in the ‘08 version. It pleases me greatly that this merchant boss, who 100% looked like scum who’d sell his mother for silver ended up being absolutely as stand up an ally and fellow businessman as it can get in that type of civilization. Not only that, but he knows the REAL Lawrence and Holo. Imagine the “tall tale” that would be passed down in their branches. Fun and romantic!!!

Overall, I found this story to be more upbeat thematically when compared to the Re:Zero and 86. At I found the original story to be anyway. I'm sorry you feel differently, Faroh. Feels pretty bad to be a liar when I wasn't intending to be one.

2024-05-08 05:51:15 +0000 UTCLawrence goes hard! Holo wanted him to be a "brave knight" in the last episode, and he didn't think twice about it this time around. There's a lot of emotional subtext here, but yeah Lawrence and Holo are basically "a man and his dog" or "a wise wolf and her pet human" at this point. They're a POWER COUPLE if you ever saw one 😁 One more little thing, the merchant who was doing a deal with Holo at the end of the episode is the same merchant who fell for the fur pelt scam. This is new, the original novel and the 2008 anime didn't do this. It might just be an animation budget thing, but I like to think it's the business trust relationship between him and Holo after everything, reinforcing the idea that he IS wise enough to learn from her and she knows it. Just speculation on my part though
