This show has genuinely opened my eyes to the depth of some anime, and the symbolism that could be prevalent. This should literally be shown in English classes so those kids can figure out symbolism. Honestly, seeing Shin smile brought me so much joy. I'm just- I'm so grateful our kids made it... some of our kids made it. I'm so happy they met Lena, I'm so fucking grateful. I'm surprised Lena didn't recognize them when she has their literal polaroid picture, but to be fair it was an older photo, and maybe her mind wanted to protect her.
Also the way the Federacy people just stood by the sidelines and watched the one person from the republic who truly loved these kids come and meet them. It was so so beautiful in every way. Putting it at the end of the show was no fair though. I needed more time. I needed more. I- I am so grateful to you all for showing me this beautiful show. Truly. I could not be more grateful.

Your reactions are wonderful, and since I also love more romance-oriented shows (which you have plenty of here), it is great. I have never seen any mecha show before, but I knew that I was not interested in this genre even one bit. Well, but because you had it in your collections, I started watching it and realised it is one of the best anime I have had the pleasure of witnessing. The themes, the romance, the tension, the trauma, it's amazing; the show is amazing and your reactions are as well.

I watched 86 when I first came out and I’m happy I watched it with your reaction to everything. There was something that idk if you missed or not (granted I’m typing this after the episode so I haven’t watch like the last 30 mins yet) but at the end when they were about to hold hands. Idk if you seen it but there hand made a number “86” small detail that was beautiful. Love the reactions and about to watch more.

2024-06-08 17:28:05 +0000 UTCHopefully, we will one day get a second season of 86. This season only covers the first three novels and there is more than enough content available to make more seasons. No, you're not dumb, Faroh. Very few people notice all the symbolism on their first watch unless they had already read the books, in which case they have the advantage of foreknowledge of events. Even those few that do notice the symbolism only get around 30% of what's there. To put it another way, if you're dumb then I guess I am, as well. I missed over half of it on my first watch. It was only after rewatching it after reading the first three light novels that I picked up on the bulk of the symbolism.

I love the small detail as Lena and Shin are about to hold hands the shadow forms 86, also in the photo Kurena is literally stepping on Lena's toes to get in between them. 2024-06-08 12:35:50 +0000 UTCMakes sense why neither knew one another; they’ve never seen each other before. They only know via voice and Shin couldn’t hear because the audio in his mech was damaged. If you’re curious as to to why or how Lena is there it’s because the squad has slowly been making their way back to the Republic where the Morpho is situated. You can see hints here and there from the previous episodes like the ruined flag of San Magnolia, as well as the fallen statue and signs. And that field of Lycoris? Same field Spearhead has previously passed by during episode 9. So in a way, has somewhat come full circle. 86 symbolism.
