This kind of stuff, while definitely more edgy than necessary, isn’t really that appalling to a person whose country has produced works like Black Mirror and BrassEye, which are so unafraid to show off how messed up they can be that they always follow through. Of course, being too much for some is perfectly understandable and I’m not begrudging anyone who thought it was a step too far - speaking for me alone, I just thought it was far too silly for it to feel genuinely shocking or dangerous.
