2023-07-12 20:13:58 +0000 UTCThe importance of Atsushi imagining Dazai (which we´ve been watching since last season) is that he is a positive support encouraging Atsushi to keep going and is replacing his trauma with the headmaster (who Atsushi imagined several times telling him to keep going forward or else he was useless). About Sigma, the anime is a little vague about it, but in the manga it is explained that Sigma has an ability. He can trade the information one most desires with anyone he touches (both Sigma and the person touched trade information)
