it was so funny reading the light novel for the sato scene, when he tells her he had fun he has a inner monologue about how he actually had a lot of fun but sato just wont believe him. shit had me in tears, kinda sad though in a way

Growing up, he never received love nor affection and learned to completely ignore his own feelings to the point of it being alien to him. Now that he is out of the White room, he wants to learn that new side of society and people that his father rejected. He wants to see poeple as poeple instead of just pawns and feel emotions. Though i'm not sure if he wants that as purely from an academic point of view or really because he wants to feel human.
