But honestly, learning how Sakuta slowly tried to accept this new version of Kaede after she lost her memories had me in my feelings. He just supports her no matter what and that shit HURT ME.
While editing this, I kind of became hyper aware of the fact that Kaede was really aware that she was going to switch back to her old version very quickly, so thats why she was so impatient about it all. She wanted to make sure she could reach these goals before this version of her was gone which is so scary. Imagine thinking your version of yourself is disappearing? like omg? no thanks :)

He is upset because he just essentially raised the "dissociative" Kaede for the last 2 years and now all of the connection they built up is gone overnight. It would be deeply shocking to say the least.

They didn’t get kicked out or abandoned!! I think you misunderstood all of that somehow. The father is taking care of the mother while waiting for Kaede to feel comfortable with the world again. The father wants them to be a family but since two of them have mental illnesses is very difficult to. I hope this explains it enough..
