TBH guys it seems very much like we keep watching these people chase dreams of others and never their own and its like a lesson they never learn even though they're aware they're chasing dreams of someone else's. First it was his mom, then it's Maine? Like whats YOUR dream David.
Also, i think Lucy hid David's test subject status in Tanaka's brain, so we know he's a test subject, just don't know for what or what the fuck is even happening, but this feels very planned and purposeful which is alarming to me.
