We've finally begun the long awaited show that you guys have NOT stopped talking about 💀 ngl, first impressions, he's a lil odd one, but tbh, i think my first impression might be very different from most because of my mental health background in life and education. As you may or may not know, I have OCD, and the process of getting diagnosed was genuinely hell during my attacks. I don't talk about my mental health journey a lot but this episode really did make me feel like I had to. So i hope you can give that a listen. :)

Not gonna lie, I read a brief summary before watching, and the whole "wanting to kill her" was so interesting and out of left field, it is what actually made me intrigued to start this anime. I realized watching as you pointed out, that it was just him trying to deal with his emotions. And the anime and how cute it is, is what truly won me over. For long time Toradora was my favorite rom-com, but this one seriously challenges it. I have yet to finish as I got busy and wasn't able to keep up, but have decided to finish it while watching your reactions. :D
