First of all, the way she was protecting her friend in a way cause she's allergic to processed foods is so cute, and THEN SHE ONLY COMES UP FROM THE TABLE CAUSE OF COMPLIMENTS. She's so real for that i won't lie LOLOLOL. 💀 But Ichikawa really is such a sweetheart, minus his weird random comments about Hara and Yamada, like the way he protected Hara also, it really shows that he is a REALLY good guy just normally with no agenda. He's not just nice to Yamada because he likes her, he's nice to everyone because he's just a good guy 🥹

to be honest with you; I think this is one of the greatest romances of the season because of its realism, it is very rare to see a romance where the mc's don't act like some 25 years adults despite being in high school or middle school. The cringe middle schoolers that talk about depraved things, the thoughts that ichikawa can have sometimes that seem a little too obscure, the perverted thoughts of a kid that is discovering his own puberty, the interactions between them that actually are LIKE real interactions of kids around their age, we can see them change AS middle schoolers in this anime, and I think it was the show where I could the most relate to at a certain period of my life, I even started to unconsciously ignore the fan service.
