My understanding is that while there is a fair amount of cut content, the three seasons of Oregairu do cover the entire set of LNs up to the original ending. There is a different LN series called Shin Oregairu which takes place after season 3 (the orginal ending of the series) during the characters' third year of high school, but my impression is that it wasn't well received at all and most Oregairu fans seem to hate the story extention. Kind of like how a lot of Naruto fans just pretend that the Boruto series doesn't exist.

2025-01-20 20:51:59 +0000 UTCAbout the buildup, the original run were something like 8 years for the original material. So no wonder we got REALLY invested, the ending was super satisfying for most of the fans. What comes after... well it was controversial at least.
