The dancing scene is great, still not as funny as the light novel: when Maomao checks on Jinshi and Gaoshun, the LN depicted Gaoshun's eyes "appeared soulless, as if he saw something that mustn't exist in this world". Maomao took a peek, and "her face turned pale" in genuine horror - of Jinshi's nation-toppling beauty - "Normal human would have died of heart attack already" XD

2025-02-08 04:01:25 +0000 UTCNo spoilies here but this is the answer regarding your jinshi question. Season 1 there was a scene you are thinking of where maomao thinks that ahduo was jinshi's mother. If this is the case, then that would make jinshi the emperors son. I think there may have been other insinuations about him being the brother though? Something about few outranking him without explicitly stating who he was. But I can't really remember those parts D:
