I don't think it's that subaru's education is great. I mean man barely went to school. But knowing about stars and constellations and their latin translations. He'd definitely know that. He's also named after the stars, as he talked about in season 1. it just didn't click with him until he got the little king reference. Little king revers to Leo constellation where Regulus star resides.

2025-10-27 14:44:25 +0000 UTCI always find the most interesting thing about this fight is that Regulus honestly could really easily have killed Emelia and Subaru at this point if he wanted to. Especially with the times where Reinhard goes afk for a little bit. But his arrogance of wanting to get the last word in and prove himself right, as well as show off how superior he is with all these dramatic attacks is preventing that. Which bodes well for the protagonists. There is some cut content I believe, where Regulus breaks off Reinhardβs leg just by stopping the time of his own breath and breathing on him. Obviously for Reinhard thatβs just a small scratch though.

Betelgeuse can go to other bodies, Regulus is invulnerable, Gluttony has several bodies (even if we don't know for now how that works and if it's comparable to the White Whale or the Great Rabbit), Sirius connects herself to other people and Capella can regenerate. And then we have Subaru, who can restart after death.
