2025-02-28 07:03:40 +0000 UTCOut of all anime, I'd say Monster is the one you could make a 1 to 1 live action western remake of and it would be an immediate hit. It's very much from an era where studios weren't afraid to make more adult oriented shows. If you don't know anything about it, I'd say stay in the dark, trust its worth it for the twists and turns.

Also note the other line that was repeated "I was following ... orders/ it was the Directors orders". Reminder that this story is set in Germany and the use of that phrase in Germany is particularly interesting.... just something to think about :)
