2025-03-01 15:29:44 +0000 UTCI think that monsters like the Lich and Beholder would be pretty well-known among fantasy nerds that got into it before the LOTR movie trilogy/Harry Potter books came out, and are kinda obscure to people who got into fantasy after that. Kinda interesting! Also makes me think - Voldemort is basically a Lich, and is a good way to explain what the creature is to people new to the concept. An evil wizard that breaks their soul to store it in an external object, in a quest for immortality.

I will die valiantly on that hill. They will build a monument to me there. It will be majestic.
