Joshua is the brother who doted on Julius so much and had a very active part in first episode. He's one that started entire quest. Met with subaru and said to come to the water city. The last time we saw Joshua, he had been sent to deliver a letter to the government building. then author does a good job making you forget about him until now then bam you realize why you forgot about him. it's so well done because the way it's done makes it feel like you as audience were also affected by gluttony. you go through 15 episodes not ever going "hey where is joshua btw?"

But honestly, it is sweet how far Subaru has come with gaining the care, love and respect of people since season 1. As they're known by some the "idiot trio" of Subaru, otto and Garfiel are honestly becoming one of my favourites.

2025-03-21 09:49:44 +0000 UTCI just noticed that the reason why Gluttony uses "we" as a pronoun is not because there are several Gluttony Archbishops but because each of them have eaten other people and a bit of these victims "live" inside them.
