2025-04-27 19:35:08 +0000 UTC@9:25 I was with you that a low ISO is the opposite thing here/maybe a mistranslation, but on thinking on it a bit I think the idea is that, though high ISO is usually useful in low-light conditions, in astrophotography you also need to reduce noise in the image as much as possible (reduce ISO) and have the ability to compensate with more open f-stop (though a bit more of a PITA to focus) and shutter time (though need to compensate for blur/movement). But a noiseless image is worth it in this context.
