2025-06-17 23:49:09 +0000 UTCRe: the lyrics of the ED, as I understand, the manga this is based on was inspired by that song in the first place - including the title. The author just loved that song. So when it got an anime, of course they had to use it. But because of that, the lyrics aren't custom-made for the show itself like they usually would be and so are a bit their own thing lol

2025-06-17 21:38:48 +0000 UTCthe reason they dub even the incidental gasps and grunts is because even those vary by the person. If the english dub VA grunted like the japanese dub VA it'd be jarring Sidenote, the dub for this is PRETTY good (nowhere near Apothecary Diaries quality but decent), but since it's Hidive, they basically just take the subtitles and read them with only enough variation to match the lip flaps, which result in some scenes that... don't exactly translate well
