I agree with everything you said. In my case since I am from India and Anime is not really big here and there is a stereotype where people think we are just Watching cartoons and me too I have really hard time talking about anime since there are not really many people i can talk to about so i related to it a lot. And I agree that the society should be more accepting of people's interest

So i'd classify it more like "prostitution light" than parasocial relationship. In prarasocial relationships you pay and HOPE for attention. In host clubs you actually buy attention. (i might be wrong, but thats how i see it)

I don't know if he's hosting anymore, but he was mad successful. He has a youtube channel if I remember correctly. He even had the anime man over at his house and then went to the anime mans house. He likes some anime and such too

2025-08-02 20:40:56 +0000 UTCThe production for S2 has been utterly phenomenal, which is saying a lot since S1 already looked great. This really elevates the manga, in my opinion, even while paying homage to it with pages and art from said manga. I can't WAIT for next episode.
