Same. I enjoy that it's as divisive as it is though! It's pretty wild - having followed the manga for a while it's either "the greatest romance manga ever" or "a shallow and clumsily written romance which verges on self-parody" depending on who you ask. I honestly can't think of many romances that get reactions as varied as this, I think it would make a legit interesting psychological study - personally traits or worldviews that opt for one extreme as opposed to the other.

The writing is trying really hard for me to care at 12yo level but it's too frustrating to watch. No hate for the reaction FWIW, just can't endure this show
