I think we established how strong Rudy is, but I feel like this was the first time we really put into perspective just how strong he really is. "I'll wipe this town off the map to do it" was no exaggeration, he really could do it. It wasn't just the intention to kill that made Ruijerd step in, but also the realization that Rudy could actually pull it off

That kid that was the leader knew that, so even though Rudy did try to play it slow and really maximize the praise and dramatics of saving them, which did lead to one loss of life, Rudy is only half responsible because it still wasn’t Dead Ends job to save another adventure group. Nobody is risking their lives for random adventurers out in the wild. This world doesn’t operate the way. So although it sucks Rudy miscalculated, he didn’t do something wrong…the entire idea of saving them at all makes him a practical hero in this world,

2025-10-24 15:19:24 +0000 UTCI believe around this time Rudy learned the hard way the world he lives in now is very real, I had a feeling he was still treating this like a game or something. Having your old life consciousness while living a new life he has, it feels like you are playing a role. Rudy may be an old man inside but his old man experiences practically zero since he's a shut in since high school.

2025-10-24 14:53:45 +0000 UTCIt really sucks that Rudy had to learn this lesson the hard way. And seeing Rudy's hometown demolished with Roxy is heartbreaking. All those people have been teleported across the world and it makes the mana incident even more impactful for the whole of the story.
