PREDATOR MARCH WATCHALONG VOD :D
Added 2025-04-07 19:13:59 +0000 UTChello! new way of sharing vods here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19pj_bSLwbTmSec816TQhtT3Nt_qS1CTe/view?usp=sharing
i'm trying a new method that preserves more of the video than before! in exchange, you have 30ish days to watch or download the vod as of this posting (until May 7th)
this is potentially temporary, since i'd like to hear your opinions on whether you prefer this method or not! the audio might also be a bit off in terms of leveling for the movie itself, so hit me with feedback if you have any. it's best to post that in the discord channel because that's where i see feedback the best!
ANYWAY technical shit aside, this movie sure was a relic of its time...... the CG had me mentally spiraling, wondering why we shit so hard on CG in movies these days when it used to be so much worse... oh, and i finally learned about a lot of pop culture references i never understood before!!! wow!!! thank you for blessing me with the opportunity chatty :D
I WILL BE POSTING A POLL FOR APRIL'S MOVE DATE RIGHT AFTER THIS SO PLS LOOK FORWARD TO IT <3

Not the FOMO x) that new method should definitely encourage more people to come to the live stream or prepare a whole separate harddrive for all future VODs. " smh you're not a true LucyPyre fan if you don't already have a separate hard drive for her " yeah yeah i know. We'll see how it goes

2025-04-09 14:49:26 +0000 UTCIt's really fun seeing your reactions to these classic movies and discovering the source of references. The CGI definitely doesn't live up to modern standards. The first time I watched it in the 90's, I was kinda impressed by the optic camouflage effect. Now it kinda just looks fucking awful. I think modern CGI is great, but overused. There's a lot of value being lost in actual physical special effects. Despite how good they look now, I can still tell a lot of the time and go "oh they used CGI here" and it ruins my immersion. A lot of film makers also just put way too fucking much intricate CGI in and it makes it really difficult to tell what the fuck is even going on, mostly in action movies.
