Here's Mermay Day 2, "Sea Blossom"! Thanks for all the comments and support on my first Mermay! I'm so pumped to paint more mermaids this month! ๐For this mermaid, I was very inspired by Wisteria trees and Coral Seabed so I wanted to see if I can combine both! ๐ฅฐ
I wanted to experiment using a spring colour palette and colours from the deep sea! These colours are quite bold so I'm not really used to working with it but I'm happy with how it turned out!
I struggled with this conceptually so I had to do a couple of paint-overs to finally get the composition and mood I was going for! Since the theme for this month is dreams, I wanted to create a peaceful setting almost as if she's dreaming for spring!
