Have a new episode of Quarantine Leap for you! This one is both fun and poignant.
Yana, who lives in Los Angeles, submitted just prior to the Ukraine invasion. I wasn't able to contact her until a few days after it had begun. I asked her if she was still interested in doing the project with everything that was going on and she was and wanted the distraction. At first she didn't want to talk about what was going on in Ukraine in the video and even disappeared for a time. I'd thought she might have dropped out, which I totally would have understood, but she needed time to process what was going on. Her city was actually being bombed and her family was endangered, but luckily they were all ok. When she came back she wanted to talk, as the Leaper feeling her pain, about what was going on in Ukraine, which I totally supported.
If you don't know of anyone from Ukraine, well now you do. (Katerina from The Russian Bride video and Never Make a Wish Using Google Translate, is also Ukrainian.)
