Progress Update
Added 2021-08-01 16:14:19 +0000 UTCIt's been about 2 weeks since my last post and I'm well past the 1 week promise of an update. I cannot apologize enough, but let me explain why this happened.
I work as part of a big conglomerate on a special team that does a bit of everything. General IT, networking, VoIP support, building maintenance, market analysis, teaching classes, you name it. The pay is honestly terrible, but the complete freedom and zero oversight keeps me there. There are only three of us on that team, but two weeks ago, one of my teammates was exposed to COVID and was told to stay home and the other was fired. I have no idea what he did to get fired, but it must have been something bad.
That left just me for two weeks. I've been pulling 10-12 hour days since then with no downtime, and by the time I get home I'm so exhausted that I just drop into bed and conk out.
Thankfully, my one teammate is coming back this week and the open spot is in the process of being filled, so I can go back to doing things I want to do, AKA writing.
