Pool ended, Just Friends next build update:

Tier 3 patrons have voted, with 5 votes in total, Johan next route will be the one to be updated. I really hope you all are enjoying his route, since he's the only character I can go all out with anything really. I really like writing his route.

Again, his route will be split into eight segments, usually the total amount of words by the end of the month is about 5 thousand words or more, it depends on how much I like, trim, and re-edit the text of the route I write. I already had months where I wrote 20 thousand words just to cut it in half because most of it was unnecessary for the route.

I will start working first thing in the morning, the process of writing the routes for me is as follow:

I create the documents, and I add all of the Meta Data first, name of the route, path, hyperlinks, information about points to have to enter said route, etc. Then I write the first draft of all eight segments, and I correct the drafts three times. By the final time, I start pushing the text into the game. During the correction and checks of the draft I also add more stuff, and remove a lot of silly things and ramblings, sometimes I even erase the whole route and write it again, if it's not good enough I won't let it go into the game. This whole process takes me around 15-20 days, plus the days to push the text into the game.

If I can fetch any new artwork for the game though I will be posting here, there are still a few expressions for Johan that were commissioned and eventually will arrive. After that that will probably be the last update with art from Wagner Mutt since the budget is not being enough to pay for his prices that are raising every now and then. I will be searching for another artist for Backgrounds and eventually someone with interest to make the cut scenes of the game. If possible I'll try to find someone from my country, because it would help a lot if I could pay for those commissions in installments with my credit card :P

But don't worry, if Just Friends starts making more than 300 bucks a month I would be able to fetch more art way faster without so much issue, so let's keep sharing the public build of Itch/ io with all your friends, tell them to support the game. If everyone who follows me here support me with a Tier 1 support, I would be able to fetch all the art I need for the whole game in a year and a half tops. :D

But for now: Saving as much as I possibly can while I write the best routes for your guys to be reading is all I can do. And if I think of any new features for Just Friends I may code them into the game :)
