Possible Delays/Smaller Uploads for a bit

Bad news, my SSD got corrupted and I lost a lot of stuff.

My workflow is generally split 50/50 between my PC and tablet so not everything is gone, and most of what I do nowadays are commissions that can be recovered from Telegram/Discord conversations, but it's going to take a while to rebuild and I'm not feeling very well.
The one thing I can't readily get back is personal work, but I kept backups on my crusty old laptop so I'll claw those out sooner or later.

It's been an intensely frustrating adventure, and I hope you guys are willing to bear with me while I get things in order.

Luckily Patreon itself has been a great backup! But yeah, work-files for stickers and book illustrations are what I miss most

ah, sorry to hear that. Hopefully you'll be able to recover most of your lost stuff and totally understandable that this will take some time^^

Oh no! Storage drive failures are hell. Fingers crossed you can get most of it back. πŸ™πŸ³

Deepest condolences to you, surely people might be willing to donate to help you get a new hard drive, or even find an electronics person to recover your personal stuff. I heard there are softwares that could try to recover your SSD. Don’t know if you store both your IRL information on the same drive as art but in any case there’s hope.

No dramas at all. I am so sorry to hear that has happened. Take all the time you need.

Even though mine went bad, I could still turn my PC on. So I set up an external hard drive to make a backup and found that the SSD was still able to be backed up despite being bad. It was such a relief.

Dang, sorry to hear. After my first SSD died I decided to pay for backblaze for PC backup. It ended up saving me when my next SSD inevitably died as well. It can't really help at this point, but I reccomend a similar service for peace of mind in the future, especially for how inexpensive it is. I hope you're able to recover as much as possible.

Nah, I got lazy and let my cloud storage lapse. I can get back like 85% of my work, but it's gonna be a needlessly painful process

It's the personal art that really stings, I can replace nearly everything else. I kept a physical backup, but the thumbdrive I was using had to be reformatted, and the SSD went screwy before I could get at it.

Sorry to hear that. Recently had something go wrong with my SDD too and it had to be replaced. Fortunately, I was still able to back things up even though it was bad, so I didn't lose anything. Sounds like yours was a bit worse though and I hope you didn't lose anything you cared that much about.

Oh no, I am so sorry to read! Totally understandable if you need some time, especially with something as sudden and hard hitting as this.

Rider

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully rebuilding won't set you back too much. When you're drawing, do you save to cloud backups?
