Added 2024-09-26 01:01:45 +0000 UTCit looks like this might be a pretty huge storm, but don't worry, baby. i promise we'll be okay. i've taken care of everything. we have plenty of food, water, gas, and batteries. even if we lose power, we'll be just fine. i'm constantly checking the weather updates to stay on top of what's happening, so you don't need to stress about that. i know you still will, but just remember that i'm making sure we're safe and taken care of.

I’ve never experienced a hurricane, but my family and I lived through a tornado last month and it was SO scary. We live on a farm and the barn, which had been standing since the 50s, collapsed and got completely levelled. Multiple HUGE trees completely uprooted, the biggest and oldest of which missed our house by just a few feet when it fell. It would have come right through the roof and into my kids’ bedrooms if it landed on the house. Multiple broken windows from airborne tree limbs. One totalled vehicle from hail (our other vehicles were in the garage.) Also lightening hit a hay bale just 100 yards from the house and started a fire, which luckily was extinguished pretty quickly by the heavy rain, but it was still smouldering and smoking hours later after the storm. I’m beyond grateful that we weren’t hurt but I hope to NEVER experience weather like that again. It was terrifying.

I’m sure you are used to this and are well prepared just like they always are, but…ahhh. You are so compassionate and thoughtful in the audio. Reassuring us in multiple ways but also encouraging of actions that help us feel more prepared and secure. 🧳👜 I overpack all the time, except once for a trip to Cairo. I smiled so big when you mentioned us taking the big suitcase. Hell yeah I’m packing that baby full of all the essentials, goodies, everything!!! People always talk smack about my overpacking but somehow always end up needing something I brought along that they didn’t. 🤐🤣👀😇 Tonight I’m feeling extra grateful for my safety up north, and a lot less grumpy about the mild rain forecast in my area. May all of you and your loved ones in the path of storm be safe and dry.❤️
