Added 2024-12-16 09:50:34 +0000 UTCyou are staying at my cabin up on the mountain, the snow falling steadily outside, blanketing everything in white. you come in from playing in the snow, your laughter trailing behind you, but it does not take long to see you are soaked through from head to toe. i guide you inside, helping you out of your wet clothes before wrapping you snugly in a warm blanket. we settle near the fire, talking about work and life, the easy kind of conversation we have always shared. but then something shifts. i catch the way you look at me, the way your eyes linger just a second too long, and suddenly it all clicks. the way you feel about me, so obvious now, something i had somehow missed until this moment. the realisation settles in my chest, warm and unshakable, as i look back at you and wonder how i never saw it before.
