Hugs, Shadow!❤❤❤ I hope you are able to make the best of your situation if you are still in it. It's still one of the best decisions I've ever made. I was terrified to put in my notice. I almost threw up and passed out. I was super close with my boss. And had to meet with the CFO. Plus my shocked team. 🤐😮💨😂😂😂 I let a bunch of folks down but finally had my own back (and mind). 🤗 it was a lot of good practice in giving no fucks what people thought of me, and standing strong in what I knew I needed. It hurt that I lost control over all the respected, cherished opinions of me, but I learned to get over that too. I never really had control of it, if I think deeper on it. 💭🤔 and I never actually lost sleep over it. 💤🤐😂

2025-01-06 23:28:35 +0000 UTCspending the first week of this year sick in bed was not a part of the plan —but i'm not going to let that speak for how the rest of the year will be... in 2025 i WILL be: ✨finishing my masters (six months of 'merica turned into 100 pages of actual research... wish me luck) ✨getting my license. i'm a little passenger princess at heart, but an independent girly to the outside world —and it's time to girl up and start driving :(( ✨focusing on and prioritizing myself —and stop caring what other people think or let it affect me negatively. i'm the main character of my own life —and i better start acting like it! ✨moving to a new city —far away from my family. after coming back from california i have been living with my mom after six years of living 1.5hrs away from her —and it has made me realize just how negatively my family influence my happiness and mental health. i need space from them all in the form of distance —and until i can move back to the states, whatever distance i can achieve in this country will have to do. or maybe you'll find me knocking on the door to the swedes, lol. 2025 will be my year of ✨growth, health and persistence✨ —and hopefully one i'll be able to look back on and feel proud of everything i acheived.

There are things I want, things I want to be, things I want to do and I’m just slowly but surely working my way towards them. It’s a lot of small decisions and tiny actions that’ll keep adding up to get me where I need to be. 💡💡❤❤📈

2025-01-03 04:56:04 +0000 UTCAs I listen to the first new audio of the year, I find myself flashing back in time to a previous job that nearly drained me of every single bit of energy, joy, and spirit I had left. I was the person who would do what no one else would. I could stay late, even later if needed, then go home and log back on too. I’d travel. I’d take on mentoring, training and strategic goals while doing certifications and a full client load. Sure, why not?! 🙄🙃🙃🙃🤦🏾♀️ What I hadn’t learned to say that everyone else did was, *NO*. The only time I set a boundary was when I had a dance convention, which was far and few in between at the time. It was a toxic environment but I could have stood up for myself more. I worked on holidays, even from home. Literally have pics of working from a family event on July 4th and freaking out because my ball and chain (laptop) got wet by accident. 🥲🤐🤫 Sometimes worked from early morning until wee hours of the morning the next day and needed to stay at local hotels because it was unsafe to drive my entire trip home that sleep deprived. Everyone knew they could count on me, until they couldn’t. One day I had enough, and the stress felt like it was going to kill me. I decided to quit my job and felt a heavy weight released from me. I even had to work late during my last week there while my Mom was in the hospital. I was on my laptop working in surgery waiting room, waiting for her to get out of surgery. I knew I’d made the right fucking choice. 😤😤😡 I’d never felt freer. They call me the domino.🤣😂 I left, then a few others after me. Many that worked with me are all still close friends. Bonded by the trauma of the job and our love for one another. 🤐🤪🥰 It was difficult to leave. Heartbreaking. They couldn’t offer me enough to stay. They tried. I declined. It’s one of my proudest moments of taking back my power so far. ❤ Sharing for anyone who needs to see this. A job will work you to death and just replace you. There is only one *you*. Take care of yourself wisely.

Save up enough money for my first car (ofc used as it’ll be cheaper and better on the wallet, but still I must save a lot😭)

I’ll never take my Costco bottle of pain reliever for granted now lol.
