Added 2025-01-08 21:42:19 +0000 UTCyou have been sick for the past few days, spending most of your time curled up in bed, trying to fight off whatever has you feeling so awful. today, i took the day off work to make sure you’re taken care of, because there’s nowhere else i’d rather be. i come into the room to check on you, my hand gently brushing against your forehead as i take your temperature. i pull you close, wrapping you in warmth and comfort, hoping to ease even a little of the weight you’ve been carrying. as you rest against me, your breathing starts to even out, and i hold you until you drift off into a nap. my only thought is that hopefully, with a little more rest and care, you’ll start feeling better soon
