the second we step into the room, you go straight for the windows. floor to ceiling, the whole city stretched out below, lights flickering like stars scattered across the skyline below. you are mesmerized, taking it all in, but i am not looking at the view. i am looking at you. the way the glow from the sea of lights catches in your eyes, the way that dress clings to you, the way i have spent all night waiting for this moment. i step behind you, close enough that you can feel the heat of me, close enough that when you breathe in, it is me you are breathing in. i let you have another second to admire the city before i remind you exactly why we came here. i have wanted you all night, but right now, all i can think about is getting you out of that dress and against this glass.
