Added 2025-02-27 05:11:01 +0000 UTCi slip out of bed as carefully as i can, but you still make a small sound of protest, barely awake, reaching for me even as i move. i am not gone for long. just long enough to grab you some water, a bottle of gatorade, something to make sure you are taken care of. you are still sprawled across the bed when i come back, looking at me through heavy, sleepy eyes as i sit down beside you. i press the bottle into your hands, watching as you take a sip, slowly, sleepy, like even that is too much effort right now. i chuckle, brushing a stray strand of hair from your face before sliding back in beside you, pulling you close, ready to just lay here, wrapped up in you, enjoying the rest of the night. but then i remember, there is still one thing left, something important, something you will need to do before you fall asleep.
