Added 2025-03-01 01:26:32 +0000 UTCyou're feeling miserable. curled up in bed next to me, clutching the heating pad, the painkillers you've just taken haven't yet kicked in. i hate seeing you like this, knowing there is nothing i can do to take it away, but i do what i can. i pull you against me, wrapping you up in me, pressing into my warmth, letting you know i am here. you sigh, shifting just enough to tuck yourself deeper against me, and then you ask, your voice small, tired, if we can take a nap together. as if i would ever say no to that. i press a kiss to your hair, tighten my hold on you, and pull you even closer, spooning you into sleep, hoping that if nothing else, being wrapped up in me brings you even a little relief.

Waiting for the pain relief to kick in is the worst 😩 having someone’s body heat is actually the best to relax muscles & provide pressure. Loved the “press your bum up against me” & “here take my thumb”. I need to be babied a lot at the beginning & want all the closeness & comfort. I will also probably cry all over you. & then day 3 hits & I start to feel so much better & my hormones kick into overdrive 😏
