Super slim chance but maybe one day lol K being a huge fan of cel animation and stop motion animation but still choosing cel makes me so so happy…I specialize in traditional and we really are losing it as an art form. I learned the old paper flipping, frame by frame picture taking way that apparently they don’t even teach freshman anymore. It’s all digital now

I get so invested in the characters that the switch feels like a personal disappointment. I once skipped episodes and left the series in the middle just cause some characters had this massive personality change!

2025-03-08 09:24:32 +0000 UTCOk but that this or that was SO GOOD, and holy shit I feel like I learned so much and also truly understand writing and films even more than my entire semester I took film in high school 😂 And the second you said film noir, and started talking about the texture, I got struck with such a vivid memory of the end scene of Double Indemnity (I'm pretty sure that's the one it was?) where they're in a dark room at night and the outside light is coming in through the blinds casting onto them and one of the characters kind of moves into a spot of light and their face is the focus of it. But also the way everything in film noir in general is shot and lit is so intentional and just. . damn. I really was on a black and white kick back then. lol They really are so good 🌚
