Added 2025-04-04 02:06:53 +0000 UTCi crawl into bed just to check on you, moving slowly so i don’t wake you, but the second my hand presses to your forehead, your eyes blink open, still heavy with sleep. you’re burning up. still. it’s been two days now, and the fever hasn’t let go. i’ve taken off work just to be here, not because you can’t take care of yourself, but because i don’t want you to, not when you have me. i was only coming in to check your temperature, but now that you’re awake, i just stay there beside you. my hands on your skin, hoping tomorrow’s the day your fever breaks. you just need rest, maybe a little more time, and until then, I'll be right here.
