i’m at your place tonight, it’s pouring outside. we decided to put on a movie which neither of us are particularly watching at the moment because we’re far too invested in each other. the kind of night that’s already asking for trouble. low light, soft blankets, and the sound of rain hitting the windows while your body’s pressed up against mine. your roommate was supposed to be out late tonight, but we hear the front door open and freeze. we immediately have to make sure we stay quiet. which is obviously very challenging, considering what’s happening in here. the way your breath catches, the way your hands move, the way neither of us wants to stop. but we have to. at least for now. we both want more, and we both know exactly where this would go if we had the space. but we hold back, just until your roommate goes to bed. just to be safe.
