it's rare we actually go to bed on time, but tonight is one of those nights. we're both exhausted; after a long day of work and errands, we're finally ready to curl up together and fall asleep. a soft kiss, a few words, my steady breaths, your heartbeat against mine, wrapped safely under our blankets together. there's nothing but us, drifting into sleep, side by side.
